Crossed hanger thread

I've just discovered that the rear mech hanger on my DBR has become damaged, the thread is crossed and it's not possible to tighten the mech properly, it flops around from side to side. Does anyone know
what I might do to fix the frame? Would it be possible to recut the threads, or is it time to get a new dropout?

Just to be sure, when you say it flops around from side to side, it's not the mech pivot that's worn? Otherwise, as LGF said.

There is another thing you can get that is easier - there was a picture of one on here quite recently - I think it was tintin that posted it ?
