crank arms not aligned

Got myself a really nice shimano 600 crankset, but upon putting it onto the spindle, I noticed that the arms aren't exactly 180 from each other.

Is this a usual occurrence? And is there anything that can be done?

Cheers

Have you got them on right? The four-sided spindles give you 4 possible options, sometimes I put mine on at 12.45 by mistake. Makes for an amusing riding style.

I'd look at the tapers in the crank arms to see if they look worn and are square. If they've been used and not tightened properly the tapers can wear. Make sure your spindle is tapered as well and not square ended. Are the cranks pushing all the way onto the spindle leaving a small gap by the bottom bracket?

checked the spindle with another crank, no problem. pretty sure it's the socket on the left arm.

will contact seller and see if I can get a return, sounds like they're not worth the trouble

Cheers guys!
