Coyote DH

The frame number of my 17" Red F2 is H7J00510, which suggests that it is a bit newer than the yellow DH.

Found this whilst researching the Trekking Fox brand. Another rebranded F2 by the looks of it, also with Fastrax forks.

So the bike has suffered badly from unreliable brakes over the past 3/4 years. They'd frequently pump up and lock solid if the bike wasn't ridden for a while. They'd need a bleed every time I took it out. For the price of a service kit, fluid and 8x new pads, I instead ordered a set of new Shimano brakes. Concerned that the new brakes may feel down on power compared to the DH4, I also managed to get a set of larger 203mm rotors, for the front and back.
Sam talking of brakes, did you ever get to ride any of our Coyote bikes that were fitted with Pedderson self enegising brakes ???? It was funny because not long after both Scott and Suntour claimed to have their own version and all it was, Peddersen put their name on instead in exchange for some juicy OEM orders. These things were brutal, but we always worked on the basis, that brake levers should all come with a big red label on them saying ""ONLY TO BE USED IN DIRE EMERGENCY""
