Hi, seems like i'm going to be after a frame very soon. Noticed this crack a while ago but it didn't seem as bad is it looks now. would it be ok riding round town casually, while i find a frame on here, or is it too dangerous?

It could be fixed but it will be a problem to do so, not as easy as steel. You would be better buying a new frame imo.

Get thee to a builder and have it sorted
sadly i don't know any builders

I will probably be looking for a nice frame to build up anyways ...but what would the fix involve? :(

Any reputable fabricator with a TIG welder should be able to weld that up with no problems... The only issue is cleaning off the weld inside the tube for the headset to fit... Shouldn't cost you more than a few bucks...

 :D ....but its in New Zealand and local pickup only

Plz, plz, plz (if u have an account) could u ask them if they would poss be prepared to ship to the uk?

Drill the end of the crack to stop it spreading any further then make a collar and shrink fit it round the bottom of the headtube.
