thinking about using my bontrager as a 700c commuter, and belive i once ran accros a converter for the rim brakes, so you can use a 26" mtb frame with 700c wheel.
A mate told me on-one and phil wood made a gizmo like that, but no more apparently...(?)
dont wanna weld the studs, just jet...(a least not until i try the frame with 700c`s..)
any links, ideas?..

Think some canti's are compatible, possibly onza HO's?

wow - if they are available - instant 29er - just what I want  :D

as long as I have tyre clearance

can always pop longer posts in. However, check the pauls comp. website as he does some indeedy. .

OOOOH! there nice.

A little tip if anyone is going to use a pair of Onzas like this. DONT!

The arms taper slightly and all that happens is the pad holders crack!

Done it, Broke em, Binned em.

Cheers,Al

If you can find any of the onza HO v brakes I think these work as they are a plain post that you can clamp the pad arangement onto anywhere............
EDIT: On reading als last post (we wrote them at the same time!) don't do this! I knew someone who was running these for a little while but knowing the tendency of onza HOs to crack...................... Stick with the motoBMXs if you can stretch!

Yes thats what i figured!

They werent on the ones i had.Dont know why?

But if things are going to turn to rat poop, it will happen too me!!!

Al.
