Living under the Concorde flightpath was the ONLY thing that made living in London bearable.
The last few weeks before they went out of service, the pilots had a 'lowest and loudest' out of Heathrow contest running 8)

Another reason to hate the french

Fantastic looking plane and a real engineering feat, just such a shame what happened in the end. Saw the last flight of Concorde over bristol back in what must have been 2004 or something...was quite a sight

watched it too, i think i saw it fly, after just taking off from Heathrow, and hearing the boom, was a must when you were a kid

Strange that it was discontinued after only one accident. The planes we common folk use drop from the sky in regular intervals,No sign of them being discontinued :?

yep used to fly over us in Devon 7.55pm every night as I recall :D BOOM!

I remember that! I have a strong memory of fishing at Totnes as a sprog and hearing it at about that time.

Even as a child I thought that the stress a plane tyre is under going from zero to lots instantly when it touches the ground could not be good. I actually drew something in a school book that would use the slipstream to 'spin' the wheels up to speed on the approach.

PAY ATTENTION AT THE BACK MARK!!!
