Concorde restoration - on a budget

Ok last post as I can't do anymore until I've had the frame painted, which is the only bit I'm going to get a shop to do, just so it's a reasonable job. I've got the frame decals, so it'll get dropped off next week

New bearings on the BB axle, nice easy job.See what the old ones were like 😱

I promised member chickendrumsticks I'd post a restoration thread on the Concorde that I bought from him way back in November?
He'd bought it in the same condition that I got it off him, as he'd had no time to work on it.

So here's how it started. Disgusting colour, and poorly painted.
Great to see this underway Richard. I'll be following with interest!

Update time, due to many things getting in the way, getting married, retiring, lack of funds, lack of enthusiasm, I've finally started the rebuild after nearly two years.

I got bored with the frame sitting around my man cave, waiting for the inspiration to spray it myself with rattle cans, so I took it to Colour Tech in Dartford.
Even though it was meant to be a budget restoration, I'm glad I did get it sprayed professionally, as Dave's work was lovely and a thoughly nice bloke to chat to.

More to follow once I've fitted the headset and forks properly
