EDIT... measurements:
seat tube c-c 16.5" (c-t 19")
top tube c-c 22.75"
Righty, just finished this Reece Exocet C200 19" and now I have no need for it!
Price = £220 + postage at cost or collection from South Manchester (I've asked for more on Gumtree as it cost more than £220 to build)
OFFERS WELCOME!
I bought the frame on here for a mate, but it's too big for him (he came for a test sit on it when I'd got it to rolling chassis stage) so I've bought him a 17" Rockhopper frame instead and rather than hang this frame up in the shed I built it up with a mixture of new & used stuff (CRC, eBay and forum buys, little splash of karma passed on, plus spares from previous builds).
Would suit rider of about 6 foot (+/- 2") and I think it's come together pretty well... looks like a mid-late '90s factory XC bike bar the Duke fork. Ideally I'd swap the stem for a shorter one than it's current 130mm (think 90-100mm would work better) but it still rode well on it's second test ride yesterday. The fork looks a but tatty and could probably do with some new oil as it knocks a bit on rebound.... either that or sell it and put the money towards something nicer (a SID or a P2?)! Tiny bit of play in the front wheel too. Gears and brakes are sweet, it's nice handling frame, comfy ride... and a bit different.
frameset:
19" double-butted R-4130 cromoly with oversized tubes, new Cane Creek headset & spacers, Rock Shox Duke XC Air fork
drivetrain:
STX-RC Rapidfire shifters, Acera 175mm crankset & rear mech, Deore LX front mech, sealed cartridge bottom bracket, new KMC chain and new Suntour Powerflow cassette, new crank bolts, new Orange FPO flat pedals
wheels:
Shimano Parallax cassette hubs, polished double walled rims, Shimano QR skewers, stainless steel spokes, Ritchey Megabite 2.1" tyres, red anodised valve caps
brakes:
Shimano M600 with Servo-Wave levers, new Clarks pads and new cables
stuff:
Gary Fisher saddle, double-butted Marin 6061 alloy XC riser 'bars, new Sunline Mushroom grips, new black cable end crimps
