Luckily, we have an amazing engineer here on the forum who's done the same thing on my brand new De Rosa fork. If the steerer is only about 5 mm or so longer, you could get away with simply using a headset spacer. Edit: The same guy is also able to lengthen the steerer for you, so you just need to find a perfect set of fork legs .
