Clements Touring bike

Hi all,
Anyone know what year this Clements touring bicycle would be, nice wrap over rear stays, nice frame lugs.
Pinstriping still good, paint looks OK, paint detail on lugs looks good.

Bolt on wheels, Weinman levers, 105 bio space chain set and pedals, Shimano Tourney centre pull brakes. SR stem. SVX front mech.
Needs Clements decals.
After reading some posts on here I am guessing this is mid to late eighties?

No decals to say what the frame material is, is it Tange? no rear mech hanger bracket.
I have been looking for a touring bicycle and I had a nice Clements ice blue frame set back in the eighties too.

Local to me so not far away - and not expensive.
Worth it for the parts alone!

have not previously seen a no-slide pib (if that it what it is intended for) mounted this high

wonder if frame designed for handlebar controls...

could frame be perhaps a bit earlier than kitting?

Do you think could be an Olympic frame.
Looks too good to be repainted.
When I get it home Friday I will post frame number

combination of lugs, crown, seat stay treatment & lining immediately reminded me of the Raleigh Competition of 1969-1970

do not wish to suggest any relation, just found it striking...

one of the things which made me suspect frame may be earlier than kitting
