Yes I think so, Haven't paid it much attn since removing before using.

It basically means you can use a braze on mech on a normal tube without a braze on joint.

sure, but I am thinking of modding into into an inner chain guide, hence why I'm wondering if the little hole on the RH side is threaded

Pretty sure it's not threaded by the way. HAd a quick look this morn, didn't have my glasses on, but couldn't see/ feel a thread.
