I won't leave, per se, but there won't be any more builds. Luckily, I still have a Saracen Kili (they took a gaspipe Raleigh ATB, but left a Tange Prestige one, go figure) a road frame, and some rims.

The brand new pair of tyres on a rim that's been taken have been removed with cutters, making them worthless.

Bastards.

Get the police in chris, it what we pay for in our taxes, if they are regulars they might be printed. And give them an account and description of the guys that were round previously.

The scrap dealers have been round again.

And all of the contents of my man cave have gone. I have a couple of frames that I've moved over to dad's new place, but all of my tools and most of my spares are gone.

Surely they aren't scrap dealers, just thieves. Did they have to break locks to get in?

I'll echo the above comments stuff has been taken - that's theft and criminal damage has been caused too.

Call the police and get a crime reference number.

just had a thought.

IF you happen to see your stuff piled up on the back of a transit pick up and you do approach them, dont accuse them of stealing anything! At worst suggest they must have thought it was scrap but you need it. the will probably give it back to you. then take the reg number and sit back and wait whilst the police do nothing about it

Plus I'm insured.

I mean it, though; this is the end of bike collecting for me. I'm building two machines for my personal use, and the rest is going to be offered on a karma/charity basis.

But still, I am touched by everyone's kind words. I feel like I have some proper friends here.
