You started the thread by saying you was new to classic bikes. If you are new to bike restoration may I make the suggestion to buy the excellent Park Tool big blue book of bicycle repair? Also look on you tube at their videos, always something to learn on them. It will save you money in the long run.

Thank you I will have a look for the book. I have been watching the Park tool videos and they are excellent but I didn't know about he book. Together they will be a great resource. Much appreciated.
