Leave the drop bars on and go with cx gearing, it's fun.

Like the grey tyres, much nicer than some of the other colours available.

the cinelli i was was comparing it to that had Thron tubes was a stratocaster, in think this was later than the argento vivo

STRATOCASTER

Racing geometry with Green Line Custom sprung forks, and "full
optional" components of the type usually used on bikes in a higher
bracket, (Columbus Thron tubes, Shimano STX groupset with Grip
Shift gearshifters, 3T Extreme bars, 3T Procrome stem, Bontrager
saddle, Tom Ritchey tyres), make it light, the lightest in its
category. The handmade TIG welded frame is painted with the
multilayer Hardmat process, and it is also available with an
unsprung fork with Columbus Thron forkblades. Geometry (18" size):

so the argento vivo is a competiton frame, stratocaster racing frame

I set off this morning with my bag of bits , tyres , and the princely sum of 40 euros, and returned with this
3x7 shimano stx
fir mtb rims
3ttt bars i can use on another project , and ritchey tyres in good condition, for shots
I'm going to change stem bars and seat post, ritchey,
the forks are stiff, and tubes are rusted, so I'll take apart and maybe replace

the forks if factory supplied are by Green Line, and I can't get them serviced by rock shox or fox people, but I've seen a black set of Rock Shox Judy's NOS for 50 euros posted, so I'm debating getting them

Black forks will go well with the orange frame.

Have you looked at stripping the orange forks, just to see if they can be brought back to life?

well I had one quote of at least 80 euro to look at the original forks, I've found someone cheaper who I'll contact for a quote, I'll See how it goes re getting the shox

Never mind paying someone, just strip them down yourself. Let some air out and watch out for oil, you'll soon have them in bits.

Of course, that's the easy bit, it's replacing seals and getting them back together that is the trick, and even that's not exactly rocket science.
