Well ...as I said and from my experience (I was in need of several, too over the past years) its your (almost) only option!

Next possibility would be finding a whole stem in super bad shape where at least the wedge is still intact. But I assume it will be equally expensive in the end.

The 1R is a bad design isn’t it, and just asking for the wedge to crack, so I think I will put it back on the shelf for another forty years or so and buy something else.
