Hi Guys,

1st question;
I want to buy a new Chris King headset for the Serotta
I need for this frame a 1" thread headset but CK offers 2 types

2 NUT
and
GRIPNUT

which one to choose and why?

and becuase i want to order this in the US and ship it to Serotta directly so they can put it in, i want to know which online bikeparts shop would you choose/,..any tips?

and last one; i might want to order a BB aswell,..any goods tips on that one 2?
Serotta told me; you never go wrong with choosing Shimano

thanks in advance

Go for the grip nut as it comes undone less frequently than the 2 nut. The 2 nut is useful if you want to use a headset mounted cable hanger, but other than that is considered 'old'.

Without doubt...........Aspire Velotech

Best King resellers on the planet, even do conversion kits from ahead to threaded, devolutions, spare King parts...you name it, they have it along with some of the best customer service I've ever come across. I've even sent them links to eBay auctions and they've priced up missing parts etc....these guys rock :D

thanks Neilll!,..i found them trough ebay myself in the meantime,..
You just pulled me over the line ;)

Should i buy the classic Chris King hubs aswell? they look amazing,..

Need a CK headset myself (well I am sure I could make do with something else, but why would I want to do that?), so will take your recommendations and buy from them.

Just shows how good customer service and word of mouth is rewarded.

Thanks

Quite dangerous visiting that site, King, Pauls and Phil Wood  Oh and the new classic cross hubs with the big flanges look like they might be nice.

Yep, Aspire are awesome, and that free postage is a deal clincher everytime..

I have a spare unused GripNut 1" conversion kit in silver if you fancy it..?

Yep....why anyone would buy any King stuff off eBay is beyond me (unless it's old colourways)....AVT are not only cheaper for the item, then the free shipping, then the speed you get stuff from them (quicker than plenty of stuff I've ordered inside mainland UK!!)....blah blah blah.
