Cheap NOS Nuovo Record rear mech

Storage wear my ar5e. Looks like wear wear. How does anyone think they can pull this off as NOS? The jockey wheels look worn or at very least encrusted in oily crap. Did they get like this from sitting on a shelf? What total balls.

I often think that while some people misuse "NOS", there are many more that simply don't know what it actually means, they see it in other listings and just use it! Could be the case here... It's so blatantly not NOS that surely anyone who knows what it means wouldn't use it! Unless they're trying to trap the equally clueless buyers, many of which probably have no idea either....

I can definitely say I am a bike nerd / Campagnolo anorak !. People have unrealistic hopes of what a bike part will sell in today's market and think when they have a Campag part they are holding aluminium gold . This rear mech must have been stored in a cup of Baldricks mud tea from the last Black Adder series . Looking at the date stamp I think it says 70 so 1970 . Only state sponsored clubs / national teams would have had access to something this fancy back in 1970s communist Poland assuming it was used in Poland . It would have passed through many riders and been handed down . I cannot see many takers for this 'nos ' part unless someone wants an early Nuovo Record rear mech so the date stamps all match up on their group set ( full on Campagnolo anorak wearer ).

I never subscribed to the date stamps matching obsession but if you buy an original bike you might be surprised . A decent anorak used to be Army stores but I went upmarket and bought a Berghaus , it works when walking the dog in a down pour and you can layer up in the Winter .
