Evening gents. We have restarted the cycle to work schme at my place of drudgery. Anyway decided to go for a fixie. Transpires we have to go through halfords but they can source outside there normal range. With my budget and what brands they can get I have narrowed it to these two. But which one? My commute is circa 10 miles each way and moderately hilly. Would also like to do some longer saturday morning rides and mid week 10 tt's with it. any thoughts on plus and minusa of them both. I went the fixie route as I want a decent hard workout while commuting. Cheers ahead fellas

After having ridden both go get a Langster nicely built the 2010 was a litle better than this years and the 2011 but still bloody good bikes and no i dont work at a bike shop anymore ow wait im covering saturday at the lbs    well my sales heads back on

plus specialized make a proper road bike with the langster where as charge in my opinion are a little (scratch that OTT) gimmicky

Cheers bud. I have to admit I love the lansgter, chrome with black stickers is lush. I agree on the charge, do appear a bit trendy really. With the langster it has track bars and little brake levers at the top. Don't suppose you know if the bars hace cable recesses in them so if I want to go to (and I will as I generally ride on the hoods) normal style levers I can run them. Assuming not? Not a massive problem as I have a spare pair of road bars I can swap on.

Cheers for the info dude.

This years Langster is being pushed as a proper track bike, it comes with a double fixed rear hub (which technically you can run a freewheel on), no bar tape, no brakes, the frame is drilled though. I'd definitely go for that over the Charge though.
