Change of geometry

Cheers, I assume that frame was designed for a degree of suspension though? Also, when you say "fun" what impact did it have?
Just checked, the frame is corrected for 63mm (currently has 80mm Pace forks on there) and was running 445mm AC element spar-q forks. Was originally delivered with a set of curved triple butted steel forks, which i still have somewhere!

And it just became a point and shoot, the slight increase in AC was more then offset with the added precision you had with a set of modern rigid carbons (and the reduced weight over the suspension). There are a couple of climbs that i'd never cleared until then, but with the lighter and more precise forks, made a difference.

And an early 90's frame *might* be corrected for a 50-60mm fork.

Ok. Thanks for the input everyone. Think I might give it a go, I haven't much to loose. I kinda hate the thought of it in one way....its not very retro, but, if it gets me able to ride longer then it's got to be good.

I will keep you posted .

Cheers
