Just checked, the frame is corrected for 63mm (currently has 80mm Pace forks on there) and was running 445mm AC element spar-q forks. Was originally delivered with a set of curved triple butted steel forks, which i still have somewhere!Tootyred":nd8ntzk3 said:Cheers, I assume that frame was designed for a degree of suspension though? Also, when you say "fun" what impact did it have?
And it just became a point and shoot, the slight increase in AC was more then offset with the added precision you had with a set of modern rigid carbons (and the reduced weight over the suspension). There are a couple of climbs that i'd never cleared until then, but with the lighter and more precise forks, made a difference.
And an early 90's frame *might* be corrected for a 50-60mm fork.
