Chainrings for retro cranks

Hi Folks

Same old problem - can't find a replacement like for like replacement part for a set of xtr m900 cranks. What will work that's out there now and brand new. I'm thinking I need to be able to rely on a steady supply of these over the next few years of riding but now worried that there is nothing out there other than old shimano sg stuff. Is the stronglight stuff compatible with hyperglide or am I looking in the wrong place?

Any pointers would be gratefully received.

Stronglight and TA rings are not only compatible but also better made and far longer-lasting than Shimano. Frankly all the huperglide / IG names are so much marketing puff beyond the ramping and cutouts on the cassette.
HG cassettes have shorter teeth for faster shifting, but again at the expense of durability.

Just what I needed to hear (having just bought one prior to asking the question!) I was worried because the teeth all look the same ie not individually moulded as the shimano ones were. I'll go ahead and get the set now! Thanks hamster!

Kooka can look stunning but are not cheap!
Quite a few Middleburn out there still.

Profile Racing is an american bike components maker that has been around for many years and they still sell the same type of chainrings that they made in the 1990's. I own several sets of them and they work great. Here's a link:

Middleburn still do very nice chainrings with all the retro BCDs and bolt patterns.
