CD player problem

My CD player has just decided to go south. Strange noise coming from it and it just spins the disc. I know a few of you are handy with things like this, grateful for any assistance. Cheers.

A CD lens cleaner (good also for DVD machines - looks like an ordinary CD but with some ultra-fine brushes on it for cleaning the optics) might help to some extent; Maplin Electronics may be able to sort you out with one for a reasonable cost.

I replaced the laser pick up on my CD player. Bought one off t'internet and popped it in.

Depends how much you value your player I suppose as you can get a new one for £20 from ASDA
