a very traumatic night, my cat went into convoltions last night at midnight we tryed to find a vet so rang the pdsa, they said to bring her in so my wife took her only to be turned away, my contact with them had expired and all they were intrested in was money. she had no way to pay as her bag was stolen last week and she has no cards shes still waiting for the replacements to arrive. it took 15 miniutes of pleading with them just to have a look at our cat. the vet said she was a happy healtyh cat and go away and come back tomorow. i sat with her till 4 this morning she had labourd breathing and was totaly lifeless. i woke at 7 to find she had got worse and called an emergancy vet who advised the best thing to do is put her down. my daughter is totaly devastated weve only had her for a few months but in that time she gave us 4 lovley kittens 1 of which we kept.
cant tell you how pissed of i am with the pdsa right now, heres the kittens http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... ht=kittens

We've been in exactly the same place with our chinchillas once or twice.

At the end of the day, they are running a business, but really?..It doesn't take much to stop being a heartless b*stard/b*tch..

and don't get me started on vets who charge the earth to make your pet worse than when it went in..currently dealing with the aftermath of such an experience. Won't be going back to that one!

lumos2000 - Sorry to here that :-(

We lost our 13 year old quite recently (pic way up this thread), very upsetting, especially with the questions and upset from a two year old :-(

The ongoing questions were the only reason we replaced quite quickly - hence the recent kitten pictures :D

Hope all gets sorted.

WD :D

When I went down to the shop to open up last tues, I heard a persistant wailing from the roof. Went out to have a look and saw this little creature stuck up there....

Well I got very little work done that day... Put ads up around town to see if anyone had lost her. No response - but she's housetrained and loves people. We reckon someone's left her behind on purpose.....

We already have 6 cats plus another one worming his way into the family as it is, so we can't keep her but luckily my sister-in-law is going to have her if no owner shows up.

I don't understand how people can just leave animals behind when moving etc. My Cats are part of the home/family and they'll go anywhere I move.

That is a lovely animal, nice to hear she's going to get a good home :D

My garden is a toilet for the evil gits too

Cat denies assaulting other cat

JAZZY, a three-year-old dark brown cat, has denied starting the vicious fight which left his black-and-white neighbour Sparks needing three stitches.

Jazzy insists the charges are 'political'
Violence erupted in a Swindon back garden in the early hours of Saturday morning when local residents were alerted by a chilling sound, like two abandoned ghost babies, followed by low growling, some hissing and a heavy thud as Sparks fell off a fence.

Sparks was left with face injuries, incurring a veterinary bill for £110 including injections. Meanwhile Jazzy, who has a history of confrontational behaviour, now faces the possibility of losing his testicles.

Jazzy said: "It was territorial self-defence. I emerged from the house at 3am to find an intruder jetting his spoor over my garden like a broken fire hydrant.

"I made myself look marginally bigger and approached very slowly at a slight sideways angle, in accordance with accepted protocol. Sparks then swiped with his left paw and I was forced to act."

He added: "Ask yourselves, if you awoke in the middle of the night to find an intruder spraying warm urine over everything you hold dear, would you have behaved any differently?"

Sparks said: "The area Jazzy describes as 'his' garden is actually between our two properties and belongs to an elderly woman who has no cats.

"It is widely acknowledged as neutral territory and is used by the local cat community as a toilet and napping area.

"So I think Jazzy can kiss his balls goodbye."
