I have a 737 cassette with burrs on the sprockets. The chain is slipping. Is there any point filing the burrs off or is the cassette now junk? I hate to scrap stuff

it isn't the burrs fault it's skipping, it's the lack of material where the burr has formed from that's making it skip.
is junk I'm afraid, send it to the afterlife (a cassettes traditional burial requires that all plastic is removed before the cogs are tacked together to form a non bike related shape such as a bowl or lamp shade).

Thanks Novo, i will rebirth it as a finger bowl for my dry roasted.
