Carrera B52 - Fixing a Broken Heart

That's looking good, suits the STX stuff but I'm tempted to throw you an offer of a trade for the Race Face headset. I had one of those on a GT i-Drive I'm re-creating at the mo. The new FSA offering I've used wasn't bothering me until now when I saw your Race Face one.
"Details man, details." he scolds himself as he wanders off to the garage to consider should he change it?

@Bobmac892 the Race Face headset came on a bike to me and I think it's missing a bottom sealing element - still functions perfectly just thought that might stop you getting too regretful about your FSA. If you still 'need' the Race Face let me know.

The date is indeed April 1993. This fits with the head tube sticker too, which is around that date. Same as my old Carrera Epic road bike. I imagine this was one of a few or the only Aluminium frame bike sold that year. There was a big expansion of aluminium the following couple of years with bikes such as the Gravity, Absolute, Furnace and others I forget. Those frames were built by Liyang.
This I think is from 'The Bicycle Group' and they also built Kona and Rocky Mountain frames around the same time.

It goes and it stops again!

Few hours today swapping tyres (doesn't look too bad on black walls), cabling up and adjustments. Rides nicely enough and at just under 12kg doesn't feel overly chubby when rolling.
I'm going to try a slightly longer (silver) stem as it feels a little squashed and then just need to clean it up, fill some empty bottle cage and rack mount threads and I think it'll be there.
Last mission will be to sneak it into Simon's back garden and......wait!

That's come up a treat, well done 😍
