what an evening.

my mate has just picked up a 997 911 carrera 2. went for a drive, him in the porsche and me in his rs4 avant (genuine 505bhp). after a few miles we swapped cars.

i am in love with both of them.

and to think i was just starting to think my little 1.3 skoda pick up was a bit nippy

just thought i'd share my excitement.

Must have been lots of fun :D

Personally I'd have the RS4 over the Porsche, just a little more stealthy and a bit more practical

Yeah, I think I'd take the rs4 over the Porsche any day. But then I'm not a Stuttgart stalwart. :P

The rs4's just so much more the practical option, imho.

I do want a fire breathing Audi of some sort, anything five cylindered with a turbo will do.

couldnt find the youtube link but there was a great video of an old 325i twin turbo doing a good effort against a big porsche (one of the racing ones) around the Nürburgring.

Barry the career/ job stealing former colleague of mine regularly visits there in his Celica GT-4

i prefered drivine the rs4 and would definately own one over a 911 but the throttle response on the porsche is staggering

i'll never look at a porsche the same again  rs4 for me.........

i think the porsche was at the driver's limit, not the cars.

if you watch his brake lights he clearly doesnt know the track.

its the same old story though, well driven reasonable car is faster than a poorly driven awesome car.
