For Sale CAPPONI Super Road Bike (1980) Campagnolo Nuovo Gran Sport

Babyldn

Dirt Disciple
Just back from the Eroica in Tuscany where I went a little mad with purchases, so it's time to move some bikes out of my collection that aren't my size.

Introducing this Capponi road bike from 1980, winner of the amateur 1982 Giro D'italia. Little is known about Capponi really, all I can find on the internet is that he used to build racing bikes using high grade tubing, some sources say in Trieste whereas others say Rome. Pointers welcome. Certainly a rarity!
Virtually untouched, have only cleaned and re-greased the headset and replaced the seatpost which I wasn't fond of, you know the one with the black lines. Should still have it somewhere if you like it OG.

SIZE:
Seat tube 57 c t c
top tube 56 c t c

SPECS:

Condor Saddle
Cinelli stem (Capponi Pantograph)
3ttt Mod. Campioni drop bar
Campagnolo Nuovo Gran Sport rear and front mech
