Cantilever brake identification requested.

I've been waiting for my next craigslist score and found 2 bikes. One is a Marin Bear Mountain, thought it had some decent parts on it but it all looks stock marin.

The other is a Miyata Ti (Ithink) with all sorts of old school awesomeness, but it will require shipping. The black canti's on this looked to be pauls from a distance, but now I think they are certainly something unknown to me.

The silver ones look paulesque but I'm almost sure they are a MArin home brand.

Figured I'd ask you all for some identification help.

Thanks in advance!!

Eric

black ones look like avid tri-align

think the others are tektro

The Black ones are Gravity Research Pipe Dreams and the others are Marin-lite (based on WTB)

With the parts on the second bike, I would get that one every time!

did re-think that after it but gravity research didn't pop into me head
tekro did a very similar brake to that tho (but not similar enough )

Hello folks!

I'm brand new to this forum...and to be honest I don't have a lot of MTB experience, as I am primarily a road rider. But I've been riding and playing with bikes for 30 years.

So imagine the coincidence when I start researching decals for a Miyata Elevation 8000, and I see a picture of the bike I just bought!

Yes, I am the happy owner of the exact Miyata shown in this thread, the decals and blue-painted-to-black water bottle cage give it away. It's all cleaned up and shiny now, only needing the decals for completion.
