Kinda cool looking. My guess is that retro 26" cruisers are going to be big news over the next few years. Great bikes that can be used for runs to the pub and for fun in the woods. I would say my Humu is the bike I have used most over the last year. Its been well abused!

The angles look weird.

Something about the length of the fork, the slope of the top-tube, the height of the seat cluster relative to the rear tire, and also brakes: How can it be a Performer (THE iconic freestyle bike) without a front brake?

Oh, and the bend in the down-tube is all wrong. And the rear dropouts are fugly. And they went to all the effort of chroming a frame that is (allegedly) not even all cro-mo tubing.

Knight Bikes did their own interpretation of a 24-inch Performer. The angles, proportions and fabrication were spot on - Much better than this official GT. The proportions are so good, it looks like a 20-inch. The official GT 26er hasn't scaled up very well, IMO.

But it's the first year. If GT improves their retro line in the way that SE Racing has, they could do some great bikes.

Humus FTW!
(and the 2012 SE Quadangle 29er)

I like it but I do agree with DM it's a bit weird that it has the performer name on it but then again: old Mini new Mini? It's all marketing innit?

Perhaps GT envisage 30/40 somethings might feel a bit nostalgic around it - I see it's got some sort of psuedo platform at the seat end of the top tube - To justify the name?

It's very confused, but still kinda cool It's an MTBMXRetroCruiserStyler?
