Theses look very similar to ones I've seen on sub £200 bikes! The fact that he recommends not using them for jumping says it all. They'll probably crack if you do because they're cast afaIk. That plus the weight will stop you leaving the ground! :shock:

Doesn't the $80 per pair price plus the fact that you've never seen them going by in your neighborhood tell you something about them when SPINS that are 13-16 years old sell used for $449 per pair.

If you want SPINS I have a new old stock pair I'll sell you for the original retail price of $775 per pair...tags are still on the box. Where do I ship them?

I think there's a German company someone posted about a few weeks back that is making a "current technology"tri-spoke mountain bike wheel. I think I remember prices around $2000 per pair on those which is probably about right when you figure inflation and the cost increases of carbon fiber due to global demands.

Unfortuantely, the retro effect does not automatically mean that price = quality.

Spins hold their price well because they were desirable BITD but most people couldn't afford them.

try searching "inferno" on ebay .de these are magnesium and come with hugi now called t swiss hubs.

also grimeca is a serious producer than those shitty "on the ship" fabricated wheels
