Cannondale M700 age - 1993?

Hi all, I’ve done some digging but have drawn a blank on accurately dating my M700 which I’ve owned since new but can’t recall the year purchased.

I’ve looked at the catalogues on Vintage Cannondale which has confused me further, the rims on mine are Wolber AT400 Titanium Light, whilst the catalogues through the early 1990’s lists Ritchey Vantage Comp rims. The only non-original parts are the saddle and tyres which I’ve changed.



I’m fairly sure it’s the 1993 model but can anyone confirm. The stamp on the seat stay is B1 - 0301.

93 looks right for the big details: 3.0 frame, Pepperoni, red.

The serial number seems odd compared to Vintage Cannondale info: is there another under the BB?




For differences in parts vs what is stated by year, I wouldn’t get too bothered. Through the year and depending on which market and dealer, parts would vary.
