Yeah but it would be 1999 model year as that is the first year of the caad4. As normal would have been available to buy late 1998

So it’s all stripped ....

frame, forks and yellow rubber have cleaned up well today and will hopefully clean wheels and brakes tomorrow.

It is a M950 BB and the chainset is lighter than a M952

So a question regarding the Crossmax rear wheel.

It has two loose spokes on the radial laced side of the wheel. But if you turn the nipple the whole spoke turns. Any ideas ?

Plus has anyone heard of a mega range cassette?

Firstly would like to say what a beauty! I’ve been looking for one like this for ages but anything I do see is far out of my budget

Mega range were a low end cassette with one very low gear.

Thanks for the comments. It’s a lovely bike. I’ve spent two day’s now cleaning and polishing bits.

I thought the cassette was low end but wanted to check before I swapped it out.

Bike is now back on its wheels. All the brakes, frame and wheels have cleaned up nicely. I’m going to hold out until I get a nice set of mechs , shifters and cassettes I think as it deserves better than XT.

I’ve also Swapped the seatpost for a Thomson in black I had.

Tyres and saddle are staying as I think the yellow suits it well.

The Avid Ultimate and supreme brakes are nice and shiny but part of me wonders if a set of racelines would suit more. And the money left would probably be quite a bit too as a bonus. I’ll mull that bit over for a while
