Can someone explain why its such an issue to list an item on ebay and on here at the same time?

and can i also ask why its so interesting to other peopel? If you liek the look of this bike, let me know, if not, whats the problem...

I c an remove this post if you want, honestly, Im notthat bothered, and nor do I need to explain myself.

Sweriously, being 'outed', cos Im selling somehting on ebay as well as here - get a life.

for info, if i dont want to let it go for 50 quid, thats my perogitive...regardless of ebays 'rules', trust me, theyve stung me often enough to be able to deal with it im sure!

'Outed' means someone has seen the ebay advert and thinks it may be of interest to potential buyers, not Outed as in a negative way, some of my ebay purchases have been made by trawling this forum.

It means bringing it to the public domain, and helps sellers aswell, gets them some views and possible sale.

Hi, thanks, I know your trying to be mediator, but I cant be bothered, Im sorry I offended people .... Ill stick to Ebay to avoid further annoyance, much as I hate the fees!!....you only have to read the way peple react to see that somehow its seen as a bad thing to dare list on both....

If you don't want to let it go for £50 on eBay, don't start your listing low in the hope that the price will increase to a price you're happy with. Sometimes a bike will slip under the radar for whatever reason, and won't fetch much money. I'm sure if you check the eBay section on here you'll see dozens of nice bikes which sold for peanuts on eBay for one reason or another.

Removing an item from eBay, or 'selling' it and then relisting it doesn't make you look like a trustworthy seller, and will put people off buying from you, both on eBay and on other websites such as this one.

Mate, we're a good bunch on here, but not a lot gets past us. It's really not an issue if you have your bike listed on a million other websites (eBay included), but honesty is the best policy always. I'm not saying that you were being dishonest, but you could have been a little clearer in your description when you were selling the bike, that's all :)

cant be bothered with the petty bitching guys.

yes, the bikes on ebay. Apparently that means its immoral to list on here to.

Thansk a lot to peopel who are genuinely interested

I've just read through the thread. Where is there any criticism of selling on ebay :?:
