There is a chap on here owns a couple and lives in one but ive not seen him for a bit yet :?
Chris something 667 was it (oh how quickly we forget you

)
Looked into it myself for a while,thinking its a cheaper option.
I do like boats though i get motion sickness, did a bit of 10m racing in the 90's and always felt comfortable on the water.
Sleeping is amazing too, rocked gently to sleep, though not always if on anchor
My sixpence worth is, take note narrow boats are just that, narrow, and i felt it might be a bit like living in a caravan albeit a long one. Just too narrow.
So i looked towards barges which are considerably wider.
Lots about so picking one is a problem until you know exactly what you need
Somewhere only to live?
A project that will take years but double the boats worth ?
Something to cruise around for cheap family hols ?
I looked at a barge about 2 years ago and it was a fking belter. 80' long, beam of 25' twin masts, or was it triple :? Something like teak on oak but in serious need of renovation.
A tasty vessel

and cheap as they go but alas i can only but look and dream
