Can a Campagnolo Atek RIMs Take 2.10 Tires?

Obvs there will be the effect of tyre roll when you actually ride it, forgive me if i'm teaching you to suck eggs but generally you'll need to run higher pressure to avoid the tyre wanting to fold over under hard cornering, opposite with a wider rim which 'squares up' the tyre more and hence you can run lower pressures.

2.1 was the main max at the time (bar the 2.2s) so work ok, I used to run them.
Go for an older tyre deign like the Smoke or Psycho with tougher sidewalls.

But they did work well with 1.9/1.95 of the day.

Modern tyres tend to be a bit wobblier from my experience.

The Atek was the coolest* rim to have at the time, especially compared to the boring everyday Mavic rims

*insert modern day term here, hop ? the shit?,

Seems like I may have nailed a period correct (to the year), cool guy rim yet again for a build completely by fluke...

Yes they are very narrow but nice. They also look great with 1.9" tyres.

I couldn't find any suitable 1.9" tyres to go with them and I also ended up ordering 2.10" tyres by mistake.

It was a silly error but at least I have now managed to get them on the rim.

Although now I need to see if I have got the enough clearance for them!!

I'm hoping that I do.

Just finished another pair of Campagnolo Ateks on black Bullseye hubs but with black spokes and nipples for that 'stealth' look.

Inspired by the black 2.1 smokes in your pics, thought I'd try a pair of Blackwall 2.1 Onza Porcupines.

Being a massive fan of black Campagnolo rims with Amberwalls - here's the same wheels with Panaracer Smoke Lite Compes in 1.9

What would be your preference?

Woof!

I’m traditionally strictly amber, and those Smoke Compes look amazing, but I have to say the full stealth version is stunning as well.

A tough choice for sure!

What are they going on?

Stellar wheel build either way.

Wow.
