Update on the Fire. Added the tires, WTB saddle, gold cage pedals and wax on/off all over. Bike is extremely clean and shines nicely. Did not have to do much to it as the seller is into restoring vintage MTB's but leaves a few things for the new owner to do. He contacted me this morning about a Bizango he has that I might want, has V-brakes on it so think it might be 96-98 or later. Looks to be in nice condition and mostly stock so I'll get back with him at some point.
