They do indeed. Used between 1967-1974. Must of been old stock leftover if OP's bike dates to the early 80's.

There was a Haden lug that looked a bit like Crespera.

Carlton did indeed flog off old stock when they closed, the odd frame does pitch up with them from time to time.
