i think the axle is steel, might be titanium, and the bearings are smooth

£ 35 posted to the uk , or would swap for the same with a italian thread

Any idea as to how much this had been used?

not a great deal of use i would say, the crank it came with is in very good condition with very little wear to the rings.the threads, tapers and splines are all in good condition.i will post some pic,s when i get home from work
