I've seen rebuilds of these (mostly secondhand) very plush hubs selling for £499 on eBay. This set has an NOS front hub. Seems a good price as the front hub alone sells for £130+.

Is there any truth in the story Chris King copied these classic campagnolo sealed bearing hubs millimeter for mm for his own design?

Re:

These are indeed lovely hubs, I have the Centaur models which are idenitical apart from they have plastic dustcaps not metal. Record are also the same but have titanium skewers, I think

Got my wheels almost unused with mavic open sup rims for £100 on eBay from Italy. Didn't realise what a bargain they were !

I think the Centaur have steel spindles, the Chorus aluminium spindles and Record have titanium. This accounts for the weight differences. I've got a Record set and they're just about the plushest wheelset I've ever owned.

Nice, do yours also have the grease port? The part i was thinking of is the adjusting sleeve with the screw in it. Mine are black plastic, wonder if yours are titanium? The spindles all have the same part number on the spares doc, Im pretty sure mine aluminium. Really wish Campagnolo were still making these hubs ! Maybe have to check out some Chris Kings!
