calling all you FAT owners!

Have just been informed that new BB bearings for the wicked from local bearing supplier will be £38 each! Apparently they are no longer available (US only) so would have to take a alternative and machine a circlip groove on the outer race, hence the cost.
Anyone else had similar sky high quotes?
Anyone found a alternative? Bar once in a blue moon fleabay auctions.
Is it same bearing as on other FAT models?
Any help gratefully recieved.

have a ring around, thats seems waay to steep. as a last resort try independant fabrication. talking to em a few yrs back & they still had good stock of original FAT bearings.

Phil Wood, a california company, now makes bearings for fat Chances and old Kleins. I don't know about shipping to the UK but I'm sure they'd do it.
