Cable Straw???

I'm recabling the gears and require 'cable straw'!?! for the sections that run on the top tube. My problem is I don't know what this stuff is called or where to get it. Any ideas.

It isn't cable outer as such but is much thinner and just covers up straight runs of otherwise bare cable.

Also electrical insulation sleeving - dead cheap and available in red, black, blue, brown and green/yellow stripes

Trouble with heat shrink is leaving the bike in the sun and it running under the majority colour of cable sleeving being black, well, it's heat shrink.

Mind leaving bikes in the sun ain't good for tyres either or rims.

I'm going to Maplins and also try my crappo LBS while I'm at it, maybe come up with something?

Rosebikes.co.uk in Germany sell it, it's in their latest catalogue but I'm at work so can't tell you what it's called sorry! Will get you the name tomorrow if I think on.

Some places call it cable 'sleeve' and I know the stuff, and Konaglider might be there with an alternative to whatever cycle shops call it, but what it is, is just a sleeve, a plastic pipe in which the cable runs and not cable outer. If a gear cable is half a mill thick, then a pipe with one mill diameter should do the trick.

I did see it recently, I think Jagwire was selling it by the meter, but try Shimano, Clarks etc.
