Canyon has better spec. Wheels make a massive difference on a 29er how do they compare?
I know what your saying mate , but the way i look at it is like this ,i dare say you can get a ford mondeo the same spec and for less money as my 2013 Mercedes CLS , but its just not the same is it

I bought the 2014 specialised rockhopper pro evo (the hulk)in the end , preferred the quality of it and it had a bit better brakes so i am told , very pleased with it and the price , all i have to do now is get and ride

You pays yer money and makes yer choices.. long as you are happy that's the only thing that matters isn't it :D

I love that colour!

I don't get the Merc/Ford thing though.

The CLS is a lovely car, and you can't really compare it to a Mondeo in a meaningful way.

Two generic alloy hardtails though? Hell yeah, compare away!

You could say the Canyon, at the same price point, would be a souped up Mondeo I suppose. Both bikes being Mondeos.
I was being a bit flippant , what i was trying to say you wouldn't pic ford Mondeo over a merc c-class for quality or brand would you ?
The Canyon i looked at that was being serviced in halfrauds looked a nice bike , I didn't like the colour scheme or decals and the paint Finnish on the frame wasn't as good this specialised i bought or the whyte and cannon dale i looked at ether...but then i guess u get what you pay for . :)
BTW does the Canyon brand have the pedigree of specialized then ? ,Wow must of been out of the bike loop for to long mate ,been over ten years since i bought a new bike so i probably am talking out me backside

That DOES look nice :D

The car thing.... I was meaning could you tell the difference between the Spesh and the Canyon from a quick ride?

I'd have a CLS over a Mondeo any day of the week though

The C Class is a poor relation to the Mondeo as it goes, if you enjoy your driving. Your CLS is a different kettle of marsupial, being built on the E Class platform. I have had a few E Class and loved them to bits. In around ten years, when the prices of second hand CLS Shooting Brakes reaches my bottom feeding level I will possibly get hold of one.

Now there is a bike I would love to throw a leg over!

Seems you can't really go wrong with modern hardtails over the £600 mark, even 29ers.
I am in the motor trade , buying selling mercs ,BMWs 4x4s etc ,buy loads of different type cars , like me big diesels the best tho if i am on honest mate :)
Stuff i sell is usually higher than low milage cars, up to about 4 -1 year old , i might have a 2008 C63 AMG coming next week with 70k on , now show me a mondeo that you would rather drive over a C-class like that :D
