Aye - a marquee in the countryside, but not one of those fancy "wedding" marquees. This one was hired from the Southern Agricultural Show committee for a fraction of what the posher ones cost and we all (especially Jen) just got stuck in and did as much as we could ourselves. Karen and I didn't plan very much of it at all, Jen just took control (as she does  ) and everything ended up being perfect.
In fact, Jen was still there at 1:30am on Saturday morning finishing off the table decorations  - we old folk were tucked up in bed by then, although I'd been down until fairly late with one of the guys from my band setting up and testing the PA and lighting rigs.

My band and all the other musicians were, of course, all guests and everyone jumped at the opportunity to perform (as we do...) we already had the sound and lighting gear too, so think how much all that saved

So, we had a hog roast, jacket potatoes, loads of great salads, loads to drink, great weather and beautiful locations, both at the church (St. Mary de Ballaugh) and at the marquee. Plus excellent music from superb musicians (and me  ) and a bonfire and big fireworks to end with.

The most expensive individual item was Jen's dress (by Ian Stuart) - as soon as she tried it on she had her heart set on it, so what else could we do? Second best would always have been second best (as with everything in life).

Thanks for putting up with this anyway guys, very OT , I know.

I don't spend much money on bikes anyway - I sometimes just spend too much of my time riding them.........
