personal opinion only, but its a no for me.

to be honest i think it gives a view "he want a tredy new bike, but cant aford it, so had tarted up his old thing"

whereas dressed in its retro suit this frame is legendary!!

Oh my goooood.

Please tell me you are not serious.

Bikes, old or new, are to be ridden. I ride older bikes because they are BETTER than new bikes. Whatever parts I put on them.

Which ever way you cut the crumble, older bikes were generally made better, and for most tasks ride better and make more sense.

Just a shame you think owning a lot of bicycles somehow should elevate you to the stature of most fascinating individual. I haven't read many posts from you that really merit such a lofty attitude to others.

As for yer wee lapdog. Well it really goes without saying, or it should to anyone with eyes.

Have you priced retro stakes lately? I'm talking good old fashioned 18th century Salem, MA stakes too, not these cheapo knockoffs from China you can pick up at Walmart. The retro ones have all been burned, for the most part, and I don't see wasting one of the few that are left in this instance.
