Bullseye crank help

That looks a little excessive, did they come with those on from bullseye? seems to defeat the weight savings of hollow cranks or are they removable for riding?.

When fitting the cranks I simply put the bike on its drive side push the non-drive crank down and use a drill to tighten the bolt, works for me but the QR systems sounds easier than one handed.

My key simply stops the non drive side falling off should things get loose.

It goes around the bolt like a washer and has a tooth that goes into a little hole in the hollow spindle.
That was the same as my cranks. No bolt in the end. Just that little key like thing. Work for me BITD
