Building the bike nobody wanted. 1991 RidgeRunner.

Something else arrived, and it has wings. Damn these are huge.
I didn't have a shim 22.2 to 25.4 but I do have spare Syncros handlebars with their iconic shim.
Well it makes it a little period correct now 🤣
How short I'll cut it iono yet, still waiting for a lot of things.

At this point it's just buying thing, get things ready for powdercoat and work on the frames missing paint.
Oh and the infamous U brake bosses.

Gutted for you!!! ☹️

Guess it could be saved by cutting the QR lugs off and getting the crack repaired (welded) then use a seat collar instead. From what I've been told, collars stress the seat tube a lot less vs. welded lugs. I might however be talking a load of balls! Danson67 would know. He's repaired and saved many a frame on here, but he's UK based. But he might be able to advise the best cause of action and you choose someone local.

This seems to be a comment fate for early Klein & Pace owners.

Yeah I was going to (almost) do that because I'm a larger rider.
Racking my brains on how exactly to approach that with maybe a epoxied collar over the whole lenght then have a fairly large clamped collar.
Welding would most likely make things worse although it's 7xxx aluminium.
Might have to talk about a fair refund to the person that sold it to me (he's on retrobike) and seems like a fair person.
I'll DM him but first I need to cool down, but I will try to save this frame.
Not by any costs, but..

hmm..
