Has anyone heard of a BSA Golden Streak? It has a 531 decal. Haven't seen it in person but curious if it's worth having. It is a frame only no other components.

Should mention it has the headlight mount on the fork leg. The headbadge is riveted on the top and bottom. It has no derailuer hanger. I would assume 40s or 50s

Its a low end Raleigh frame probably 3 tubes 531. Should have the octagonal Raleigh head set, Head and bottom bracket 26 threads per inch Raleigh standard, not normal 24 tpi.
Raleigh used the BSA mark for some export markets, and poverty spec bikes for catalogue book companies.
Absolutely nothing to do with the original BSA, but probably slightly better.

After 1957, but probably mid 60s. some "BSA" were made in the Carlton works. The frames made by Raleigh before Raleigh closed Worksop production will have the octagonal headset and 26 TPI forks and bottom bracket.
There was an incredible collapse in UK cycle sales in the mid to late 50s. Hercules made over a million a year in the thirties and just disappeared. TI Phillips took on most of the names including Raleigh, and for a time there were bikes with a mixture of previous makers parts. The bicycle market was then mostly for those below driving age.
It is difficult to understand how small the market was for recreational cycling components, I was a retailer at that time.
