I'm not a Brodie expert, but if it were a '95, shouldn't it have a brake cable noodle around the seat tube?

I like my Brodies early but that's a really nice build I can't help with the year and I know that you can't always rely on the catalogue images to confirm the year but even in the 1997 catalogue all the models still had brake noodles.
