Bring the Funk! -- UPDATES p. 4

Thanks guys. I had a feeling the silver post wasn't going to look the best, but I wanted to try something different this time. Oh well, looks like I need to find a black post. :?

As for the grips, they're staying for now. I think they'll look better with black handlebars. 8)

Martin -- I'm one step ahead of you. I have a black Hyperlite that I was going to use on the Boulder, so I'll put it to use on the Funk instead. I think silver bars on the Boulder will look good anyway.

I think its looking sweet with all the silver parts on Mike , if you put a silver crank on with silver rings it will tie it altogether.

However you build it i'm sure it will be one of the coolest bikes on here. 8)

The cranks look perfect Mike, i think another Funk will be winning B.o.T.M sometime soon! :D

Do you know the front derailleur clamp size? I just got a Funk and a 31.8 seems to work. Mine came with a 26.8 seat post but a 27.0 fits as well. Odd. I haven't built it up yet.

Very nice. Saw that one on Ebay. Yes, 31.8 front derailleur. Seatpost size varies -- if a 27.0 fits then go with it instead of the 26.8. Look back a few pages and you'll find our discussion regarding the variation in seat tube sizes.

Get your build thread started and show us some pics of your progress.
