Brian Rourke 731os race

I picked this up as a frame and forks pretty cheap (£60) and wonder if it's genuine or not.
I haven't any knowledge of the Reynolds 731 tube set.
Looks to be fillet brazed.

If the seat stays are shot in and wrapped over, Its probably genuine. Looks tiny though

Yes, it is tiny.
I'm thinking it was a special build for Time Trialling as it only has the one down tube braze on.

731 had rifled rib sections in the butted sections. Its a good tubeset.

Nice. Could have had different forks, smaller front wheel and heading for lo Pro territory with that tiny head tube and slightly extended seat tube.

I have a 731OS Rixon.
I’ve ridden quite a few road tubesets and, as far as responsive and lightweight go, it’s the best of the lot.

Very trick tubeset! The size makes it look fantastic, and very comfy ride. My experience on an old cougar was it was perhaps a little brittle (I got my frame repaired after the first crack, but not the second). However, that remains my favourite frame I've ever ridden
